Correctional Security Benefits

Employer Paid Retirement

11.25% of your salary is paid by the state into a retirement fund.  Correctional Security and Probation & Parole Agents are eligible for 20 year retirement.

Accrued Paid Vacation Leave per month

0 through 48 months of employment  - 8 hours per month

49 through 108 months of employment - 10 hours per month

109 through 168 months of employment - 12 hours per month

169 through 228 months of employment - 14 hours per month

229 or more months of employment - 16 hours per month  

Accrued Paid Sick Leave per month

Accrue 8 hours per month

Paid Holidays

At least 9 paid holidays per year with premium pay for working the holiday.

Medical, Dental and Life Insurance

85% of the premium is paid by the State.

Longevity Pay

$40 extra for every 5 years of service.

Deferred Compensation

Works like an IRA.  The State provides a $20 match.
