Correctional Officer Candidates must successfully pass a series of pre-employment tests.  There are two options for completing the testing process.  Option 1: start the testing process with National Testing Network (NTN) or Option 2: travel to Wyoming to complete the entire pre-employment testing process on-site.  Our recruiters also travel to states throughout the country to conduct on-site testing as well.  Please refer to our testing Dates & Locations for current testing information.

Option 1: National Testing Network

WDOC has contracted with National Testing Network (NTN) to perform video, written, and physical abilities testing for out of state candidates. National Testing Network is a great option for candidates not located in Wyoming who would like to apply for this position. To schedule testing go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com Prior to testing, each candidate must submit an application to WDOC.  For questions regarding NTN’s registration and testing process, please contact their customer support at 1-866-563-3882.

Upon successful completion of testing through NTN, passing applicants will need to travel to Wyoming to complete the interview and other required tests.

Option 2: On-site testing

The process takes about seven (7) hours to complete. Only need one day to complete the testing. No lunch provided. Please bring own snacks/lunch as needed.

All candidates must be at the location to complete the following:

• Correctional Security Inventory (On-line Test)
• React (Please clink on link to take React practice Test www.reacttest.com)
• Oral Interview
• Physical Fitness Assessment (please bring appropriate attire for PT)
• Taking of Fingerprints.
